Description:

This Single Vineyard 2016 La Dulcinée Pinot Gris is from the highest of all Bendigo vineyards, and it's certified-organic.

The wine is made from organic, low yielding vines from this beautiful block . The fruit is hand picked, whole bunch pressed, and fermented in stainless steel barriques (225L) and French acacia (500L).  Both vessels allows full texture and aromatics to develop with minimal phenolic uptake.

This Pinot Gris is all about texture. It's fragrant and filling yet tantalisingly unobtrusive. The palate is pure, expansive and very energetic, threading brightly around precise acidity.

La Dulcinee has a very delicate creaminess from extended aging in barrel.

2016 La Dulcinee Pinot Gris

From a high-elevation vineyard in Bendigo, the 2016 La Dulcinee Pinot Gris spent time in both stainless steel and acacia barrels. It shows some floral, sappy notes that are more aromatic than many Pinot Gris, then delivers a rich, full-bodied, pear-and-melon wine with a viscous mouthfeel and a long, dry finish. It should drink well for up to 6 years.

Food Match

The 2014 La Dulcinée Pinot Gris pairs well with chicken and fish dishes. Match with groper, snapper, shellfish and food with verve.

We recommend oven-roasted chicken with fresh herbs and vegetables.
