Description

Ruby red in colour, the 2013 Le Maitre Pinot Noir has a floral fragrant nose with light plum, raspberry, slate, dry earth and hints of mushroom. The aromas are compelling, yet mellow toned. Whilst Le Maitre has distinct elegance, its fruit has a lively red character that threads through a cushioned succulent palate.

Medium bodied with juicy acidity, the fruit sweetness glides throughout its impressively long finish. This unique wine comes from Gibbston Valley’s original Home Block Vineyard, planted from 1983. The age of the vines regulates growth, whilst their deep root system lends the wine structural gravitas and grace.
