Description:

Handcrafted with fruit from our Gibbston and Bendigo vineyards, the 2015 GV Collection Pinot Noir is a regional statement of consistency and premium quality Central Otago-style wine.

A new release, this wine is still youthful and bright. Our winemakers recommend cellaring it until 2017 and up to 10 years to experience the best from this Pinot Noir.

Deep red/crimson with a consistent bright hue, the nose lifts with red and dark fruit, some graphite notes and barrel funk. The palate is youthfully-expressive: crammed with in the front with blackberry, leading to a complex line of mineral tannin.

2015 GV Collection Pinot Noir

Medium to deep ruby-purple colored, the 2015 GV Collection Pinot Noir has quite an earthy/savory character with some game notes over black cherries and mulberries, plus a touch of yeast extract. Medium-bodied, it offers a great core of dark berry flavors in the mouth with firm grainy tannins and balancing freshness, finishing long and earthy.

Food Match

The 2015 GV Collection Pinot Noir is a beautiful match with any red meat dish, especially marbled steak, lamb and venison.
