Description

The 2014 Gibbston Valley Pinot Gris is a fresh, lively wine. Pale straw in colour, it has a complex yet upbeat nose that skips through a grapefruit, lemongrass and vanilla pod spectrum. Underlying stonefruit and guava notes power the palate, which maintains its intensity and energy with zest. Crisp, yet sweetly lingering flavours chime through the finish.

Food Match

This wine complements a range of foods and can also be enjoyed as an aperitif. Our 2014 Pinot Gris pairs well with rich foods to cut into them – try crayfish, terrines and coconut based curries. It's also a delightful match to support lighter more zingy fresh shellfish and fish dishes. Try it with citrus and herb Venus clams.
