Home Block Vineyard

The original site planted by Gibbston Valley founder and wine pioneer Alan Brady in 1983.

Fruit from our historic Home Block Vineyard produced the Central Otago's first commercial vintage in 1987 and was recently certified organic by BioGro New Zealand. Gibbston Valley's 2014 vintage is their first to be certified organic.

The age of these vines regulates growth, while their deep root system lends the wine structural gravitas and grace.

Home Block's high-quality fruit is used in several of our single vineyard varietals including Le Dulcinée Gewürztraminer, Le Fou Riesling and Le Maître Pinot Noir.

Glenlee Vineyard

Close-planted in the Burgundian style, this site produces low crops if intense fruit.

Our Glenlee Vineyard was planted in 2003, by Californian visionary Gary Andrus. This site is close-planted with 6000 vines per hectacre on what was once a sheep station.

This vineyard's location and planting shows fruit clarity at its best, combining fragrance with concentration and structure. Wines from this site are intense, lifted and delicately spiced. This fruit is used in our single vineyard Glenlee Pinot Noir.
