Were hosting our 6th Annual Wine Club Barrel Blending on 9th March from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Gibbston Valley Winery, where you can experience the thrill of creating your own perfect blend of Pinot Noir.

This is an easy to digest winemaking experience that has been designed to be educational and informative, but also a lot of fun. Rub shoulders with the winemaking team, pick their brains and meet fellow Wine Club members, all in one day.

Tasting & Blending

Join our winemakers for a barrel/tank tasting of multiple Pinot Noirs at separate stations. Afterwards, collaborate with other members and our winemakers on which wines should be blended to create a custom 2018 Members Reserve.

Once the special blend is determined, a full barrique will be filled and placed in the wine cave to age. After a few months in barrel, the wine will be bottled in personalised 1.5L magnums. 

Following the blending, guests will enjoy a gourmet banquet lunch at the winery. Those who participate will have the opportunity to own their own blend offered at a very special price on the day.

Transportation

Return transportation from Queenstown and Arrowtown is available for this event on our new Gibbston Valley Shuttle. Shuttle tickets are $25 per person for return transport and can be added to your ticket booking.

• 10 a.m. -  Queenstown pickup from Station Information Centre located on the corner of Shotover and Camp Street
• 10:30 a.m. -  Shuttle arrives at winery
  
• 2:00 p.m. leave winery for 2:45 p.m. Queenstown drop-off
