The Gibbston Valley Winery Restaurant, Wine Cave and Wine Vault are all available for hosting a private function, wedding or corporate event for both small and large groups.
With views of the Kawarau River and surrounding mountains, our station land is also available for events, as is a range of venue options at the Gibbston Valley Lodge & Spa.
Our group events coordinator can help you customise everything from wine and food choices to décor. We offer a range of menu options from tapas to buffet-style menus and plated dinners.
Our restaurant’s simple but stunning décor is versatile for any occasion. Suitable for about 80 people, this venue includes access to our restaurant, a lounge area with seating and fireplace, Cellar Door and courtyard area with additional outdoor seating, giving your guests lots of room to mix and mingle.
We offer local dishes prepared from sustainably produced ingredients grown in our chef’s garden or by local artisan suppliers. Our culinary team can cater both plated and buffet-style menus that include everything from cocktail-style canapes and tapas to gourmet BBQ.
Located next to the winery restaurant, the courtyard is a beautiful area to enjoy pre-dinner drinks, canapés or to mingle outside in the summer months. Use of the courtyard is included as part of the restaurant hire and may be included with hosting events at our other venues. Additional venue hire fees may apply for special requests.
This unique winery venue is especially popular for hosting an elegant dinner or a cocktail reception. It can also be used for wedding ceremonies. It's suitable for up to 28 people for dinner and may be able to seat more for a wedding reception. Our Chef specialises in degustation menus to pair with this stunning venue.
Blasted deep into a mountain side, and lined with more than 400 French oak barrels of aging wine, our wine cave will make any occasion a memorable event.
This beautiful event space facing the courtyard can easily be transformed to celebrate any occasion. The room holds a special place in our history, as it's where Alan Brady stored some of the first barrels of Pinot Noir we produced.
Suitable for up to 90 seated & 120 standing guests in this space alone, an additional marquee can be attached to large opening doors allowing your event to flow into our courtyard. Combining the room and courtyard increases the seating capacity to 160 guests.
Our various winery venues provide stunning options for hosting your wedding ceremony and reception. The Wine Vault and Winery Restaurant are all available for weddings, offering options for intimate events to grand-scale celebrations.
