Each offering a distinct Central Otago wine experience and reflection of our unique vineyards
We offer four distinct ranges. Each one showcases our distinct Central Otago varietals, handcrafted with fruit from our Gibbston and Bendigo vineyards.
Our wines have been recognised worldwide for creating and redefining the measure of New Zealand wines. Attracting strong and consistent critical acclaim, they are handcrafted using classical techniques. As a result our wines are complex, pure and true to region and type. They flourish with food and produce dazzling results when cellared.
Large format wines are now available online and at Gibbston Valley Winery and include varietals from our Estate, Single Vineyard and Reserve ranges.
Put one in the cellar to honour an anniversary, birthday or graduation or bring it the next time your gathering with friends and family and be the life of the party.
Sourced from vineyards that provide generous fruit flavours, this range maintains our trademark food friendliness. While these wines have the capacity to age gracefully, they don't have to be in order to be enjoyed.
Our Gold River range is a superb option for a casual glass with dinner. Open a bottle from our Gold River range to get a quality Central Otago wine experience at an affordable price.
The Gibbston Valley range debuted in 1987 as Central Otago’s first commercial vintage. Since then Gibbston Valley has been at the forefront of the region’s wine styles. Wines from this range continue to garner strong and consistent critical acclaim.
Most recently our 2014 Rosé earned a Champion Rose Trophy, at the New Zealand International Wine Show, the country's largest wine competition.
Our single vineyard wines are handcrafted as expressions of place, relying on structure and elegance to convey their message.
This range includes our premium School House, Glenlee, Le Maître and China Terrace Pinot Noirs. It also features our first organic-certified release, the 2014 Le Fou Riesling from our original Home Block vineyard, now certified organic by BioGro New Zealand.
To be included in a Gibbston Valley Reserve, the fruit must be something very special. Largely, this amounts to a piece of the undefinable bestowed on a few rows of fruit in a great vintage. Human endeavour and reverential attention is poured on from the vine through to bottle.
By its nature, production of this range is very limited.
